Adventure In XX City 2 : Finding BB (Fangame)
Fan game of the AOTK series made by garmentdistrict/thecatamites
https://thecatamites.itch.io/anthology-of-the-killer
This is also a sequel of sorts to the first Adventure In XX City. It is significantly longer than the previous game. (approx 25-45min, as long as an hour if you take your time)
Some Notes:
- Playing at a 16:9 resolution is highly recommended, otherwise, some cut-scenes might look weird.
- Playing it on Windows Desktop is recommended, but WebGL should work relatively fine (some sounds are bugged out for some reason, and game-pads are wonky? Also, resolution cannot be set and may be bugged).
- X-Box controller is somewhat supported, other game-pads should work. (Just press the equivalent button to the Xbox controller)
- For credits, go to the settings menu and enter the credits menu, then tap up/down.
Dev note:
I'll admit, the story and writing is kinda all over the place. This project is part selfish, part experiment, part hobby project. So some parts may seem weird, illogical and slapdash, there are a lot of impromptu moments during development. Nevertheless, I hope you like it, at least a little.

that was good even if i understood what was going on even less than the actual of the killer games
the camera felt too slick compared to the actual games but if fidelity wasn't your goal that's fine
how were you able to capture the feel of the original games so well? reverse engineering or just remaking it all from scratch? it's really cool! the way the camera moves and how the dialogue/events flow are on point!
Thank you 🥹
The movement and cutscene code is remade from scratch. As for the art and overall feel, I used the original AOTK games as reference. I decompiled the original game to research some aspects like fonts and art sprites.
Oh, and the Doodle Studio asset helps a lot in replicating the same art style.
really cool game, it was a treat getting to see someone else's take on one of these! :o)
omg, thank you for playing my fan game! :D
